This piece with modern harmonies is relatively difficult in both technique and interpretation. Sparse pedal, technic must be clear, rapid and precise. Alternating hands, rests, staccato is very present, a moderately fast and precise rhythm tempo with scales, arpeggios; chords, octaves, and leaps, are the difficulties that one was one must master. This mastery permits the listener to enter into the « shivering » atmosphere of these nocturnal creatures which show themselves little by little to begin of devilish dance interrupted by the first signs of dawn and they disappear just as they appeared.
