Dedicated to M.N and F. Sailly, honorary professors of Aix en Provence Conservatory of Music, the 15 pieces are written for Violas duets; easy level. Students will acquire mastery of open strings, and 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th finger. Of different « Tempi » and simples measures are addressed; the easy rhythms sometimes require a good basic pulsation. the writing permits the player to place the fingers and acquire a good hand position. The bow markings and fingerings are left to players choice. The interpreter can express himself musically respecting the « rallentando », « a tempo », fermata , and requested dynamics. Interpretation and technique together permit the player to overcome the stated difficulties and to progress in ensemble playing.
