About author : POLESELLO Karen
Karen Polesello is a designer, cabinetmaker and doctor of design. Her main activity is the practice of design, from conception through drawing, mock-up and sketching, to production in the workshop. Trained in semi-industrial woodworking production processes - such as turning and edging - and turning them on their head, she strives to combine technique, aesthetics, modularity and practicality in her ethically committed projects. However, being a designer is not her only activity, as she also teaches her craft at the University of Toulouse Jean Jaurès. She is the author of a design thesis dedicated to the consideration of creative and manual activities, which looks at the need to teach object design in the French public curriculum from elementary school onwards.
