The aim of this musical tale is to introduce children to Robinson Crusoe, the mythical figure of the adventure story. It is aimed at both conservatory and national education classes.

The eight songs presented develop eight themes that correspond to eight key stages in Daniel Defoe's novel: loneliness, nostalgia, courage, adaptation and survival, the discovery of an exotic elsewhere, but also the encounter with the other, of which Vendredi is the incarnation.

The melodies, by turns expressive, melancholy, funny or rhythmic, turn this musical tale into a veritable novel of varied and contrasting adventures, reflecting the powerful opposition between two conceptions of life, Robinson's and Vendredi's.
