Path, but without narration, "six preludes" progresses in distinct blocks, whose juxtaposition establishes coherence. The expanse here is an interlacing of departures. The reader follows elliptic curves, interrupted net traces whose impetus will resurface yet, bounces, bows launched in the sky, falsely abandoned or disappeared, resumed further. The poem unfolds from sensations, from the evidences they give birth to, and their erra from one marker to another. Twelve twin paintings by Étienne Yver, inspired by these texts, act in counterpoint or, placed in front of each part, as preludes to preludes: lines preceding or extending lines, or crossing them. The artistic companionship of Philippe Macaigne and Etienne Yver already has a long and varied history: he finds here one of his developments, the second through the printed book.
