Lakimade was composed in 2003, at the request of the pianist H.B.G who, had just played one of C.V's pieces with the HC quintet, and who wanted an original piece in the same spirit for his own quartet. This piece successfully mixes the influences of tango, jazz and contemporary music.
In turn simple and complex, rhythmic and melodious, nostalgic and full of energy, the music uncurls with great freedom in which the pleasure of playing becomes an evidence. A mixed and original piece, definitely rooted in the 21st century.
