This humorous work can be placed on the border of music and theater. On one hand the musicians play in the traditional manner. On the other hand, however, they enact "a play." They sing, speak, and take part in "unknown" classical music that is quite absurd. Everything is supposed to be lighthearted and comical. The preparations for TEMPO DI TANGO will surely be more difficult than preparing for a classical work, but the effect can be surprising. This composition, programmed at the end of a concert of classical music, could be considered a funny wink of the eye.
