Written in 2001 and revised in 2019, The Book of Hieronymus Bosch is a vast symphonic poem that evokes the atmosphere of Hieronymus Bosch's altarpieces. It functions as a kind of epic in which sonorous characters emerge through the repetition of leitmotifs associated with them and which deliberately exaggerates the feelings felt at each moment of the action.

Originally written for a large French classical organ - which explains some of its technical characteristics - the cycle is articulated in four parts: Genesis, Fall, Prayer, Hell. It is adaptable to instruments of all aesthetics, provided that a vast sound palette is available.
