Léo Marillier, a young and very gifted violonist, student at Conservatoire de Paris but already concertist, also shows a great interest for composition. In the optic of the opera airs paraphrases and fantaisies vituosos of the 19th century appreciated, he was not afraid to redescover Don Giovanni and I can witness that he can himself deal on stage with the numerous technical difficulties he put cautionless along the score. It is all to Editions Delatour-France’s credit to have accepted to publish this first composition and in the hope it will be followed by many others.
