In Saint-Denis, the Conservatoire de Musique et de Danse is experimenting with a comprehensive piano course. Since September 2016, 1st cycle students have been learning music as a group, in a curriculum that blends theory and practice, offering a decompartmentalization of the three usual disciplines: piano, musical training, group practice.
This chronicle describes the first year of this adventure, whose collective implementation brings enthusiasm and questions, confirmations and necessary adjustments. A testimony that offers a different perspective on the profession of artistic teacher today.
