Michel Estellet-Brun was born in Bordeaux in 1943. He was taught by Jean Langlais, Gaston Litaize and, for improvisation, by Pierre Cochereau. He was successively Organist of the Abbey of Royaumont, Notre Dame de la Croix de Me'nilmontant, St Georges and St Joseph des Nations in Paris. He has made several recordings on the Calliope, Motette and Alpha labels; for the latter, he made the World Premier recording of works by the Czech composer Josef Klicka. His many concerts have taken him to Germany, the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom.
